Health & Safety Policy
The Health and Safety Policy of the company is to:-
- Provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment at
all times
- Ensure adequate control of health and safety risks arising from
work activities; this includes communication with clients and any use
of sub-contractors
- Provide all required instruction, training, supervision and other
relevant health and safety information to employees and where appropriate,
sub contractors
- Ensure that all employees, and where appropriate also sub contractors,
are competent in the work activities they are engaged in
- Continue to consult with and update employees on all Health and
Safety issues
- Carry out risk assessments for all common tasks engaged in by
employees where risk is involved and potential danger has been identified
- Carry out an annual company risk assessment
- Encourage all employees, and where appropriate sub contractors,
to take reasonable care for the health and safety of him/herself ,
fellow employees and all persons accordingly and to report any hazard
which cannot be controlled personally to appropriate personnel
- Contract with organisations who demonstrate health and safety
actions with their own employees and clients

Working Time Policy
The Working Time Policy of the company is:-
- to meet the European Working Directive for all employees (unless
they choose to do differently at their own choice) which in summary
means 4.8 weeks (24 days) annual leave per year, to work no more than
6 days out of every 7 or 12 out of every 14, take a 20 minute break if
working more than 6 hours and to work a maximum of a 48 hour week.
- for no employees to be expected to work weekends or nights
- for all employees to choose flexible working patterns and their
own hours and place of work
- for part time workers to be entitled to the same holidays as
full time workers, calculated on a pro rata basis
- for overtime payments to be paid if that is agreed in the employee’s
contract
- to meet all current UK maternity, paternity and adoption regulations
for employees
- that all employees can take time off for personal reasons such
as a dependent falling ill or dealing with an unforeseen incident.
The default is that this is unpaid time off, however, in many cases this
can be negotiated as paid time off.
- to count Jury service as paid time off
- to operate and meet the UK Statutory Sick Pay regulations as
appropriate and relevant

Equality and Diversity Policy
The Equality and Diversity Policy of
the company is:-
- through this policy the intent is to provide equality and
diversity in employment irrespective of gender, race, ethnic origin,
disability, age, nationality, national origin, sexuality, religion
or belief, marital status or social class
- to treat all employees, whether part time, full time or
temporary, fairly and equally
- to provide employees with a working environment which promotes
dignity and respect to all. No forms of intimidation, bullying
or harassment will be tolerated.
- to operate a procedure for any complaints
- to meet all applicable legislation current at the time

Continuous Professional Development Policy
The Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Policy of the company
is:-
- to enable all employees, and where appropriate also sub contractors,
to meet the CPD requirements for their current roles and also the
desired levels for their personal development
- for all employees to maintain their own personal CPD portfolios
- to apply the rule of thumb where the equivalent of an employees’s
one month’s gross salary is to be made available in each financial
year to be used for CPD purposes; this may not be accumulated; more
may be available on negotiation.
- sub contractors with a contract lasting more than 6 months
may, as part of their contract, negotiate to include CPD as appropriate
to their sub contracted role
- encourage all employees and sub contractors to use the corporate
access to online office safety, manual handling and information
technology courses
- provide employees with advice on CPD as requested

The Information Technology Policy of the company is:-
- to provide all
employees and where appropriate long term sub contractors with
up to date computing equipment, both hardware and software, and to
maintain this to a high standard
- for all employees and users of company equipment to operate it
within the bounds of its purpose
- for all employees and subcontractors to use effective antivirus
and firewall software; this will be audited at least once a year
- for all employees and where appropriate sub contractors to work
within the Data Protection Act Regulations and to protect the company
and client data at all times; this includes the use of USB sticks
which are password protected and virus protected. All losses of equipment
and data to be reported.
- to allocate budget to ensure employees have equipment that enables
the utmost efficiency and to ensure they are enabled to keep up
to date with the advances in technology
- for backups of data to be maintained according to the latest procedure
and where appropriate this includes sub contractors
